Yes, despite the fact that everyone's favorite hedgehog hasn't recently appeared in many critically acclaimed games, Sonic Frontiers, a "open-zone" game, has sold a lot of copies and received generally favorable reviews. The first spot, however, comes as no surprise at all given that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has become one of the franchise's best-selling games ever, which is no small accomplishment. Even though it has only been available for a little over a month, it has already surpassed Elden Ring to become the most popular paid game in the US in 2022.
Number two is God of War Ragnarok, followed by Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Sonic Frontiers, Madden NFL 23, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The final ten games are, in this order: FIFA 23, NBA 2K23, Gotham Knights, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Mario Party Superstars. Tactics Ogre Reborn, the only other brand-new game on the list, is ranked number 17. Elden Ring is ranked eleven. It's important to remember that Pokemon only counts physical purchases and Mario Party.
