Turning off the 2K launcher while playing Marvel's Midnight Suns on Steam may help with some performance difficulties.
Midnight Suns players and Rock Paper Shotgun Reddit was the first to report that Midnight Suns were stuttering and also discovered a potential fix: just disabling 2K's launcher so that it cannot launch alongside Midnight Suns.
James Archer, the author of RPS, claims that the solution significantly increased the frame rate, which increased from an average of 90 fps to 146 fps. Both RPS and a Steam user posted instructions on how to stop the 2K launcher from starting. In brief, players must access Midnight Suns' local files, copy the path to the game's main executable file, and then paste the path into the launch options.
After removing the 2K launcher, some players also appear to have experienced save file problems; if this is your scenario, check out the Steam guide for troubleshooting tips.
There isn't presently a solution for improving performance if you purchased Midnight Suns through the Epic Games Store.
